The first ‘STRINGS ATTACHED’ event was a big success!
A collaboration between Words of Writers (WOW!) and Sauga Plein Air Group (SPAG), this unique event brought together writers, artists and musicians to showcase and celebrate local talent.
The event was made possible by the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga (UCM) through the generous donation of the use of their grounds and Great Hall, and support from Mississauga Arts Council through their MicroGrant program.
SATURDAY, JUNE 7TH

A special collaboration between Words of Writers (WOW!), Sauga Plein Air Group (SPAG), and the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga (UCM), with support from Mississauga Arts Council ({MAC). This unique event brings Art, Literature and Music together in one spot!
SATURDAY, APRIL 26TH

Come to listen to the voices of 10 local poets as they read from their books as part of Nation Poetry Month celebrations!
I’M IN THE LOCAL LIBRARY !!!
Thrilled that the local library accepted my poetry book ‘DIAMOND DEWDROPS’ into its collection.
It’s such an honour – Thank You, Mississauga Library!
It’s not everyday one gets to self-check out one’s own book, so that was a cool experience 🙂
Another exciting, interactive book signing at Indigo/Chapters on Oct 20th, 2024!
It was wonderful to have guests participate by writing their thoughts and poems on the spot! This demonstrated to me that the capacity to create is in all of us, and given the opportunity to express ourselves (in any medium), the creative spirit can spill out in often surprising ways! And age is no barrier… the youngest participant was 3.5 year old Emma, who did not hesitate to express her writing skills in the most adorable way!
The positive energy from the engaging guests made this a memorable book signing event!
Thanks Chapters for having me for the launch of ‘DIAMOND DEWDROPS’ which now sits pretty on the endcap display!
Had fun book signings at Chapters during March Break week.
With Easter around the corner, the timing was perfect for Easter-themed activities 🙂
Was wonderful meeting fellow author Cat Wilson and connecting with the community at Steve Wilson’s Gallery in Niagara falls.
Thanks Steve for hosting this book event for us local authors!
It was a lively book signing at Chapters! The smiles and good wishes from old friends and new, big and small, young and old, lit up the room and made for a very enjoyable 4 hours!
Thank you, Chapters Vega, for having me! 🙂
The Caledon Creative Arts Festival was a great first-time experience of an outdoor event. Our first-ever attempt at pitching a tent was a success – luckily the weather was perfect – no mad wind, so the tent stayed safely anchored to the ground! My Tai Chi demo piqued the interest of onlookers. 🙂

The Book launch was a blast! Colourful, lively, and great energy all around! With the plein air competition and hot dog event on at the same time, the place was hopping. What fun!
‘The Unexpected Muse – When Bunny Talks’ has found a spot on the shelf at the local library!

2023 marks the beginning of the Year of the Rabbit, and it started with a fun interactive event hosted by the good folks at Chapters Vega. It was wonderful to have the younger audience share stories about their pets and experiences with wild animals. They also did a great job in drawing bunnies and colouring pictures of them!
Oct 2022… A fantastic reunion with ex-colleagues.

Sept 2022… Teaching Tai Chi to the high-spirited and energetic group from Peel Fountain of Wisdom Senior Services (PFWSS) was a joy.
July 2022… Another exciting book signing at Chapters – at Milton and Vega locations! Always great to re-connect with old friends and make new ones!
June 2022… Had an exciting book signing at Chapters, Vega Blvd., Mississauga.
April 2022…. Memorable afternoons spent with the wonderful ladies at V!Va Retirement & Amica Senior Lifestyles where I teach Tai Chi.
Book signing events were held to raise funds for the Red Cross/Ukraine refugee crisis and Amica Helping Hands – a charity that helps seniors in need. The ladies accompanied my piano playing with their awesome singing, and enjoyed inter-active poetry reading sessions. All in all, a wonderful few hours spent in good company, for worthy causes.
Although suitable for all ages, the feedback I received was that an author-signed book made for a nice (and different) Easter gift for their grand kids. I couldn’t agree more! 🙂
A huge thank you to V!VA & Amica for letting me host these events!
